What the Helicopter?

What the Helicopter?

The minute I saw this place, I had a vision. Just across the road is this meadow and I could see a helicopter landing there and people getting out with their heads down, walking towards me. This Sunday, my vision will become a reality.

The helicopter will ferry agents and potential buyers from the Payson airport to this beautiful meadow in Bear Flat, a remote community of 30 homes along Tonto Creek.

This Sunday, October the sixth, we are holding our first-ever Helicopter Open House. This “Retreat on Tonto Creek” is a magnificent luxury log home, set high above the rushing waters. If you’ve ever dreamed of a mountain getaway, this is it.

This property includes almost two ACRES of land on both sides of the creek. The home is 4,378 square feet with 6 bedrooms, 4 baths, huge island kitchen, big fireplace, and over 200 feet of view decking. It is magnificent.

We will have a presentation at our office on Shea tomorrow, Thursday October the third at Noon, and you are invited.  We’ll have sandwiches, a video, brochures, maps and our helicopter pilot to answer questions at that time. If you would rather drive in to Bear Flat, we will give you directions then.

If you’ve thought of a second home, a mountain getaway, this is a must-see. Please feel free to call our office at 480-596-5751 for more information. Ask for Melissa. Our office is just east of Scottsdale Road, located at 7217 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale AZ 85260.

See you tomorrow!

Bill’s Story:

It was just a 700 square foot cabin when Bill bought it in January 1973, but it sat high above Tonto Creek in a small enclave called Bear Flat. Over the years, Bill traveled the world as an executive in the hospitality industry, but no matter the exotic destinations he visited, he always returned to Bear Flat. Its allure, its remoteness, its peace, fulfills its residents. Once you’ve been to Bear Flat, it enters your blood; you find yourself drawn to its beauty.

Over the years, there were several additions. The great wall and steps down to the creek were built by Bill and his sons with stones gathered from the surrounding land. Today, this Retreat on Tonto Creek includes: a large island kitchen, over 200 feet of view decking, a treehouse, an over 700 square foot garage/shop with another 400 square feet of attic storage. The views from the primary bedroom office are spectacular.
