A few weeks ago, I realized our new office on Shea at Scottsdale Road was at the four corners of 4 great Zip Codes – 85254, 85260, 85258, and 85253.

This week let’s look at the Vibrant 85260 Zip Code. Bounded by Shea Boulevard on the south and Scottsdale Road on the west, 85260 stretches all the way to 104th Street on the east and capped on the north by the C.A.P. canal. Covering approximately 20 square miles, it is split by the Loop 101 freeway running north and south, creating what I like to refer to as 85260 West and 85260 East.

86260 West is home to the 282-acre Scottsdale Airpark, with its 8,249-foot runway. It serves private aircraft including smaller jets. Surrounding the airport are office/warehouses. Shopping and dining include the Scottsdale Quarter, the Promenade, Costco, Northsight and the Safeway Center just north of our offices, home to Harkins Shea 14 and Butterfield’s, which I rate as the best breakfast place in Scottsdale. On this side of the 101, homes are on larger lots, even some acre+ properties. Golf is available at the Starfire Golf Club.

85260 East is a bedroom community with homes on smaller, more standard lots. There are a few infill projects with new or newer residences. Food and shopping are available at 92nd Street and Frank Lloyd Wright boulevard.

85260 is an exciting zip code with everything you want. The even have a Walmart Supercenter if you just have to go shopping at three in the morning.
