Crimson Christmas 2011!

The day after Thanksgiving has always marked the final phase of our annual flurry to prepare over 6,000 personalized Christmas ornaments for clients and friends….three weeks of supremely organized chaos only Santa and his elves could truly appreciate!

Big shipping boxes arrived daily from our North Pole office filled to the brim with hand-made dough ornaments, each one unique to the elf who had lovingly sculpted it.  The daunting task to personalize, box, label and mail all 6,000 southwestern door ornaments would have tempted a less focused group to throw up their hands in surrender, but the Callaway team cranked up the volume on their Christmas music, made hot coco and worked non-stop until every piece was safely packaged and ready for delivery.

Meanwhile, JoAnn sealed the garden room from our view and summoned her loyal secret Santas to transform it into a winter wonderland filled with crimson Christmas trees, amazing table decorations, aromatic evergreen wreaths and snow flocked windows that revealed a herd of reindeer peering in from the outdoor patio, a heart-stopper for sure!  The luncheon was fantastic and everyone enjoyed exchanging gifts and sharing stories about favorite Christmas memories of days gone by… and somewhere between the appetizers and desserts, mixed between soft tears and roaring laughter we all came together once again to love and support one another as the extended family we have become, the family we call Those Callaways.

Whatever your circumstances, family near or far, we are thinking of you this Christmas Season and wish you all good things during the coming New Year.
