There is an interesting article about ”The Top 25 Most Romantic Cities in America” researched by Open Table, Inc. and we were happy but not surprised to see that Scottsdale, Az. is #15. The survey was calculated using the percentage of “Tables for Two”, percentage of restaurants rated “Romantic”in reviews, and the percentage of people who dined out for Valentine”s Day in 2016.
We are blessed in this area to have some of the finest restaurants in the country. It makes no difference what kind of food you like or want….Scottsdale has it. Now add the magnificent scenery and vibrant nightlife, it is a paradise for young and old alike. It’s a nice survey but it doesn’t go far enough to tout the goodness in Scottsdale.
I say Romance is Subjective! You may find your bliss sitting on Camelback Mountain with an energy bar and your best friend. Some would find romance at the two level driving range hitting a bucket of balls, which I might add is very romantic at sunset, or you may want to sit in the dark with your lover at Cine Capri eating popcorn and holding hands. I have some great friends who would like nothing more than going to the casino to sit side by side at the slot machines for hours at a time then having the buffet.
There is no accounting for human emotion. Our differences make us interesting and give us something to talk about. We should experience as much as we can in our life and encourage others to do the same. How fortunate we are to live and work in a city full of experiences just there for the taking.
Let’s be social folks and try to raise Scottsdale’s rating in the survey for 2017-Dine Out!
