“Lobster Mac & Cheese… Yes Please.”

You don’t joke around about lobster mac & cheese. “Baked Campanelle pasta and fresh Lobster meat, tossed in a Mascarpone, Havarti and Grana Padano cream sauce, topped with Panko bread crumbs and grated white cheddar.” The Capital Grille also boasts wines from South America to Germany, critically acclaimed dry aged steaks, seafood flown in fresh from both coasts and house-made ice cream.

Love the food, love the location, love the service, but a little pricey for dinner. Lunch is a better value unless you’re on a hot date and need the moonlit ambiance! Their Filet Oscar will make you swoon and wish you were married to a millionaire who would treat you to dinner at The Capital Grille every Saturday night. One of my favorite places to dine!
Capital Grille……..OMG the lobster bisque with a touch of sherry….MMMMMMMM. I also agree the Filet Oscar is to die for. I go every chance I get. Capital Grille is also great about giving back to the community. Wish they had one on the West Side!!!
We, as a group, have been to this fabulous establishment (Scottsdale location) numerous times and EVERY time we are amazed and impressed with the food, service, atmosphere, valet parking, you name it! EVERYTHING!
Additionally, my boyfriend (who lives in Santa Fe, NM) and I go there as frequently as possible and are never disappointed. We, too, love the Lobster Bisque – sometimes you have to ask for it if it’s not on the menu. Every item, from pre-dinner drinks (Mike loves their martinis), appetizers / salads, main course selections to desserts (I love their creme brulee … and anything chocolate) is superlative! We have also been to the Camelback and Las Vegas locations but Scottsdale is our favorite.
Here is an indication of why we love this restaurant so much: On my 65th birthday (a very special birthday), Mike asked me to pick where I wanted to go. I had heard so much about Elements Restaurant at The Sanctuary & wanted to try it; I made the reservations personally, telling them of this special occasion. My birthday is in August, not normally a busy time in the desert. When we arrived, they did not have the requested booth or even a table, but said we could wait in the bar an “undetermined” length of time. They were indeed buzzing with activity but what about my reservation? Mike & I decided to leave; when the valet brought the car, they slammed the door. I was furious. Mike & I sat there in amazement. Well, what now? We discussed our options (we also love Ruth’s Chris in Scottsdale, and other popular spots, but I said, “Let’s go to Capital Grille because they are always good to us & appreciate us!” We drove straight there & explained the situation. They had us wait just moments before they took us to one of our favorite booths, complete with rose petals and a very festive “birthday table”! They catered to us, as usual, but made it extra special. It was a fabulous evening! Capital Grille saved the day for us and we will always remember how hospitable they were to us!
This is my favorite place in town for Lamb Chops, they go perfectly with the au gratin potatoes. I have never had a bad experience here in over 30 visits.
Love the Capital Grille! You can tell as soon as you walk in the door that this is an establishment that prides itself on impeccable service, food, drink and great atmosphere. Thanks Joe for the tip on the Lamb Chops, I’ll definitely try them next time I go.
